Rare pictures of Hollywood legends have been released via an Instagram account called ‘historyphotographed.’ Catch a glimpse into the private lives of some of the most famous actors, models, singers, and artists in Hollywood. In fact, you can see presidents and international stars, too. These are not the posed publicity shots, or red-carpet smiles, but real moments, captured for eternity. See the stars as you have never seen them before.

Bruce Lee and his Family (Linda, and their children Brandon and Shannon)

Famous martial arts legend, director, philosopher and movie star, Bruce Lee founded the martial art style Jeet Kune Do. He was born in China Town, San Francisco, raised in Hong Kong and came back to the States to complete his education. Tragically, at the height of his career, he passed away, at the young age of 32, just a few years after this photograph was taken. ( Taken in the late 1960’s)

The late Playboy King, Hefner was always surrounded by beautiful women. Posing for his magazine could launch a career. Being a Playboy Bunny, or centerfold, launched many a career for young starlets. On the 22nd November 1963, President John. F. Kennedy was assassinated in Fort Worth, Texas. It was a day that shook the nation, and to this day questions remain unanswered about his untimely death. Charlie’s Angels was remade years later and starred Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Lu. Demi Moore even starred in the sequel. The cult classic series made Jaclyn, Kate and Farrah household names. Everyone wanted to look like them, and copy their fashion and hairstyles.

Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson has appeared in over 100 films. Box office hits like Pulp Fiction, Jurassic Park, and the Avengers, are just some of the films that he has starred in. Here he is seen as a young man, instantly recognizable, not yet the future legend he would become. To date, his films have grossed over 16 billion dollars.

English actress Helena Bonham Carter has played many diverse and eccentric roles. Helena starred in the Harry Potter films, Alice in Wonderland and The King’s Speech. She was also in Terminator Salvation. Working in the future on both independent films and box-office hits, here she is seen at the young age of 17.
